Elysium Paphos

Jennie recommends

Here Jennie recommends some of her all time favourite hotels and destinations she has booked for clients time after time.

Hotel Brunelleschi in Florence

The Brunelleschi is truly stunning.  It’s a very special building comprising of a Byzantine Church and ancient water tower which is the oldest standing building in the centre of Florence.  I love the luxury of the hotel and the brilliant location – just 20 metres from the Duomo.  Several rooms at Hotel Brunelleschi offer incredible views of the Duomo, which is even more striking when lit up at night.  This hotel is perfect for romantics and anyone looking to explore one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Elysium Hotel in Paphos

The Elysium in Paphos is probably one of my all time favourite hotels and I have been lucky to stay there a few times, both for work and pleasure.  The hotel staff really bring this hotel to life with their excellent and attentive service and many clients, from families to solo travellers, have really felt looked after at the hotel.  The food at all 8 of the bars and restaurants is divine and I particularly love Café Occidental for its cosmopolitan feel and the most amazing cocktails.  There is a beautiful large outside pool and an inside pool with jacuzzi so the hotel works really well as a winter as well as a summer destination.  I also really like the gardens with sun loungers facing the sea.

Secrets Akumal, Riviera Maya, Mexico

Secrets Akumal Rivera Maya is an adult-only hotel situated on the most beautiful white sandy Mexican beach.  The resort offers their exclusive Unlimited-Luxury plan including a wealth of amenities. A further upgrade to Preferred Club offers dedicated concierge service and access to premium suite accommodation. I love the Preferred Club Junior Suite swim out ocean front rooms for something really special.  The hotel is ideal for honeymooners and couples looking for a really special luxury inclusive holiday.  I really like Mexico as a destination and having stayed in quite a few hotels, cite Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya as one of my favourites.

Sandals South Coast, Jamaica

Since I stayed at this hotel it has received a huge makeover.  All the rooms have been renovated and updated and fabulous new over water bungalow suites have been added to the accommodation.  Sandals South Coast is set on a 2 mile stretch of beautiful beach.  The staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble – this is true Jamaican hospitality at its best and you will always be greeted by a smile.  Relax around one of the pools drinking rum cocktails and listening to reggae and enjoy one of the 9 restaurants and 7 bars at the hotel.  Asian, Mediterranean, sushi, Caribbean and Jamaican – the choice is amazing.  All Sandals hotels are for adults only so Sandals South Coast is a great choice for couples and groups of friends.  All activities, as well as diving, are included too.
